DESCRIPTION:
Certifies the eligibility of veterans, service members, dependents, and survivors for VA educational benefits. Processes and submits enrollment updates and changes to the VA Regional Office. Reviews and evaluates academic programs and course selections to ensure compliance with VA guidelines for benefit eligibility. Maintains comprehensive student and budget records to ensure compliance with VA Compliance Survey requirements. Counsels students and parents on all aspects of student financial aid to include eligibility, application procedures, and aid programs. Collects and analyzes student financial data to determine aid eligibility and makes awards based on federal, state, and/or insitutional guidelines. Supervises VA work-study position. Provides support for the Veteran Upward Bound program. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and financial aid experience. Equivalencies may be considered.
SALARY:
$43,000-$50,000
